Description
Stamped amphora handle; broken at neck and curve. Early Rhodian; curved, broad, rectangular, rather flat in X section. Hard, fine, pure, light reddish brown clay, redder at the core. Light buff slip. w.: .05; vertical thickness: .03; l. of stamp: .035 h.: .012; milled frame within usual frame. Found with late C and earlier ware, of III B.C.
