Ball-shaped stone object; pierced from side to side by a wide, well polished, cylindrical hole which has a smaller dia. at one end; surface a little shipped off. Dark gray crystalline stone; well smoothed on the outside as well as in the hole. The object is a little flattened at the pierced ends; or else the vertical dia. would be a little greater than the horizontal dia. dia.: .065; dia. of hole at both ends: .024 and .037. Used at the end of a torturing instrument (?) Found with iron lock c177-U717 and late glazed ware.
