Description
Part of a small, green-glazed Medieval bowl: full profile preserved. Very hard, rather coarse-grained, light brown clay with a few tiny light and small dark inclusions. Very thin light green glaze applied to interior: exterior unglazed except for a few spots on rim where glaze ran over from interior. Texture and color of clay show through thin coat of glaze. Restored dia. of top: ca. .063; h.: .031; dia. of foot: .031. Slightly raised base. Found with late C, D, B sherds and earlier red- varnished pottery.
