Description
End of an amphora with stamped monogram: monogram complete. Hard, fine-grained, rather pure, dark red-brown clay. A streak of thin, matt, red paint has run down side of preserved fragment. Several finger marks in the clay. max. h. of fragment: .07; dia. of base: .026; stamp ca. .006-.007 square. Stamped: [SKETCH] Found with much Early Late C, few Late B, one Late A, Roman lamps, Antioch Groups VII and XI, and wheel- made lamp b16-L721.
