Silver hoard NE of NE corner of Room 3, under late limestone drain.
Description
Gold plated, silver statuette of Aphrodite, probably. Mended, a few small bits missing. Gonfle type. Silver fairly well preserved, gold plated, but mostly covered with a gray-black tarnish and some lime deposit. h. of statue alone: .205; h. of stand: .045. w. of stand at base: ca: .10; w. on top: .08. Statue on stand; costume of the early Roman period: stola and palla, diadem on head, pomegranate in left hand, right hand raised to level of breast as if holding something, a sceptre probably which is missing; top of base circular, base octogonal. Found with other silver ware: c102-J32, J33, J34
