Description
Roman relief lamp with broad flat rim. Most of discus and rim preserved; mended. Rather hard, fine-grained, pure, buff clay. No trace of varnish. dia of lamp: ca. .072; dia. of discus: .042; w. of rim: ca. .013. Small incised circles around inner edge of rim. Figure riding an eagle in relief on discus "Ganymedes" Found with much Late C and B and earlier red-varnished a1063-P1877a-i and objects there recorded. Also later lamps.
