Field S of funerary grotto trial trench 1, from stratum of brown earth and limestone chips beginning at I.95 from top of aqueduct same stratum as 28/7/37 PM

Roman lamp of Augustan period; nozzle and part of rim missing. Soft, fine, light pink-buff clay; rather thick fabric. No traces of varnish. l. preserved: .07; w: .055; h.: .026. Narrow rim with two circular grooves; large slightly concave discus with moulding of standing male in the act of pulling a net (?); behind him is a basket; he probably is a fisherman. Ends of volutes on nozzle bridge faintly visible; reverse very low plain ring foot.
