Description
Late Roman lamp; part of nozzle missing. Rather large in size; square discus joins with channel; two filling holes; stubby handle upward and backward directed; low ring foot with plain center. "African lamp" Hard, fine, light brownish red clay with white inclusions. Bright red slip with a dull gloss. l. preserved: .11; W: .072; h: .051. Found with: late A; one lamp Roman group XI; coarse amphora with red painted inscription; two frags, of earlier red.
