Middle border, black, with perspective ribbon pattern edged in white, the outside green-brown, yellow, and white, the inside grey-green, light grey, and white. Inner border, red. Emblema: at left, Isis wearing crown of Isis projecting from a wreath; crown, ochre with pale yellow and white highlights and red shadow; wreath has leaves of turquoise and light green glass, the ribbon has traces of red glass, grey and white limestone; hair, violet limestone shaded in black glass; veil falling from her head to shoulders is of light grey glass and yellowish grey limestone; tunic, at neck, light blue-grey and light grey glass with white limestone highlight; outline of tunic around her upper arm and down her back, dark violet; tunic below arm, white, with light blue-grey and grey glass folds; several rows of glass tesserae missing; face modelled in pink, white, and light yellow with light grey shadow; violet shadow under eye; nose and mouth defined in red; arm outlined in violet, ochre, and light red, the flesh pink and white; fingers separated in violet-red. Male figure in center; headdress of turquoise and light green glass surmounted b ya jewel (?) of turquoise, orange, yellow and red glass; many tesserae missing; streamers of turquoise glass run down both sides of neck and over shoulder at left, and of black glass below headdress, reappearing in hair at right, and trailing over shoulder at right; hair, brown, violet, violet-red; drapery over shoulder at right, red; flesh, pinkish yellow, ivory, and pink with violet and pale grey-violet shadows; eyes, violet; nose and mouth in red; eyebrow at left, brown, at right, violet; ear, pink; shadow under chin, light violet and grey; outline between body and arm, dull red; feet, dark and light pink, pinkish yellow, pinkish white with grey and grey-black under the soles. Object immediately at left of feet, green-ochre with line of red at right, a triangular shape in center outlined in light grey and filled with grey-black, and at left, red, yellow, and greyish pink tesserae. Hermes: wreath with leaves of light grey limestone, light and dark green, and light blue-grey glass; ribbon, red, black, grey and blue-violet with streamer of red and grey; face modelled in pale greyish yellow shadows, with pink on cheeks, above eyelids, along sides of nose, on lips and chin, and highlights pinkish white; eyebrows, violet at left, grey at right; eyelid at right, a heavy line of violet; eyelid at right, nose, and mouth touched with red; eye pupil at left, violet-red, at right, black, each with one yellow tessera for the iris; ear, pink outlined in dull violet-red; neck, violet-pink with blue-grey shadow under chin; what remains of torso and arm is a patchwork of ochre and pink shadows with pinkish white highlights; fingers outlined in dull violet-red and pink; legs, pink and brownish pink with pale pink highlights and shadows grey and dark pink; sandals, red straps and soles; both feet cast black shadows in a larger shadow area of grey. Cloak hanging down at right, green-brown lining; zigzag folds, red glass inside, yellow and white limestone outside; outer folds red and black glass with many black tesserae missing; above these folds is an outer border of dark and light green glass; rest of the cloak visible is a mass of disintegrated white cement that once held glass tesserae of which only one or two black and green tesserae remain. Wand, grey shading to brown at base. Caduceus, head outlined in pale yellow, ochre, and red with white and pale brownish pink inside; staff, red. Gate to underworld: left post of doorway, blue-violet; lintel, dark grey; cornice, pale brownish pink; right post, violet-grey; bands of dark grey at top against the brownish pink would seem to indicate the capital of a pilaster. Foreground: band pf light greyish yellow above lower border; area above, violet-grey with cast shadows of grey, black, and light green-grey; light green-grey above changing to white in the background.
