H 1.767 W 1.65 Mosaic of the Seasons. "Autumn." For borders, see Panel A. Flesh parts of personification modelled like those of "Spring"; hair, light and dark violet, light and dark red, with a few strands of dark green-grey. Wings in greys with white highlights. Tunic, very light grey with white highlights and light grey-brown and brown shadows; clavia, dark violet-red, the one at your right changing to dark violet at the shoulder. Mantle, bright blue glass with light grey limestone highlights and shadows grey-blue and very dark blue glass and dark brown-grey limestone; border at hem, grey-brown, brown, dull orange, and ivory white limestone, and yellow glass. Sickle: blade, light grey outlined in dark grey; handle, dull orange and yellow. Basket, brown with light brown-grey highlights and very dark grey markings below a rim of dark brown-grey. Leaves of emerald green, light green and yellow-green glass. Grapes at right pink, pinkish white and ivory white shaded in dark red, with occasional centers of orange glass. Fruit (?) at left, violet and pinkish white. Cast shadows, light grey.
