Psyche: flesh in tones of pale pink and white, pale yellow, pale grey, with shadows on her arms light grey, and on her face light grey and dark green-grey; features defined in dark red and dark violet-grey; touches of pink on bridge of nose, cheek, mouth, and chin; hair, light and dark grey with a few strands of dark brownish green above her forehead. On each side of her head are leaves of dark emerald green, light yellow-green, and light blue glass, tied by ribbons of dark violet limestone and lemon yellow and oyster white glass which cross her hair. Wings in greys and violet-greys with "eyes" of black and yellow or dark tan surrounded by dark grey; line of yellow and grey-brown on inner edge of her right wing. Tunic elaborately drawn in glass, blue with light blue highlights and shadows in three tones of dark blue-green glass, the darkest of which verges on black; line of violet shadow down her right leg. Border of folds at her hips and at hem in yellow limestone and orange glass with shadows of greenish brown and brown limestone; lower edge of hem outlined in a row shading from light grey to greyish pink and white; several of folds at hips outlined in black; lower edge of hem border, dark violet. Drapery over shoulder, tan with yellow and white highlights and shadows medium and dark grey-brown and violet. Bow, black; bowstring, dark grey. Cast shadows, dark grey. Eros: flesh modelled like that of Psyche except for warmer shadows because of the addition of yellow, dull orange-yellow, and brown; violet outlines under-side of body; leg in background shaded in light grey, grey-violet, and dark grey with grey-brown around heel; features indicated in dark red, brown, and pink, with dark grey eyebrows; hair, grey-brown, dark red and dark violet with brown, yellow and white highlights. Wing in light grey shaded in dark grey, with a white highlight at top, dark lemon yellow and oyster white glass below, and traces of missing glass along upper edge. Drapery above his back is in lemon yellow, red and orange glass with pale pink and white limestone highlights, and a lining of dark red with black shadows and a highlight of orange and red glass. Eros' head rests on a pillow of light blue, blue, and dark blue-green glass; he reclines of an area of black with olive-green making a transition to the colors of the ground. He holds a garland of red, orange, and yellow glass and pinkish white limestone with ribbons of yellow and brown. Quiver hanging from tree outlined in red and dark violet, filled with vertical rows of red and orange glass and white limestone, with horizontal bands of very dark blue-green, blue, and light blue glass and pinkish white limestone; ribbon of orange and red glass. Tree trunk in grey-browns, violet, dark green, and greys; branches, light and dark violet, tan, and grey-brown; foliage, dark emerald green, light yellow-green, grey-blue, blue, and light blue glass with highlights of pale tan ad white limestone, and shadows in the left half, black and dark grey, in the right half light grey, dark grey-brown, very dark greenish brown and black. Foreground, dull brown. Eros sleeps on a hillock modelled in brown-greys, violet-greys, and brownish greens, with a dark olive green plant. In the foreground is a stylized landscape in white, light grey, brown grey, dark grey, red, and black, with a few leaves of dark grey, red, violet, and dark olive green limestone and grey-blue glass.
