Apsidal construction "Martyrion"

H. 2.685 W. 2.50 Animal mosaic floor. Goats: black, dark, and medium grey with light grey highlights; outlines of body, horns, tail, and hair accented with black. Goat on right has light spots of gray-pink. Tree at right: stems brown-grey, leaves grey-brown and violet-grey, pomegranates on one side shading from red to white, on the other, from ochre to white; tree trunk, dark and medium grey, brown-grey, light grey, white. To left, traces of foliage of another tree but teserae are missing. Bird in middle: outlines of head, beak, back, tail feathers, and wing, dark grey; one leg dark grey, the other dark greyish pink; wing, shaded from light brown to yellowish white; tail feathers flecked with light brown; body, shaded from light red to white; body and wing flecked with dark grey and violet. Bird at top: outline, dark grey; one leg red, the other greyish pink; body, light ochre shading to greyish white; wing shading from dark grey to grey-violet. In background: a) flowers shading from dark red to white with brown-grey leaves and stem; b) heartshaped single petals shading from dark red to white with brown-grey leaves and stem; c) rosettes, red shading to yellowish white.
