Description
H. 1.25 W. 2.02 Geometric mosaic pavement. Mosaic much discolored by fire. At bottom, outer border light tan; at left, same border blotched with grey-blue and greyish pink. Middle border edged in brown-grey, and contains a pattern of interlacing octagons composed of four elongated hexagons about a central square; outlines of octagons, hexagons, and squares, brown-grey; upper and lower hexagons, pinkish white; two side hexagons range in color from violet-grey and mottled pink to red, but at left all these colors are disfigured by grey-blue blotches. Inner squares, dark and light red shading to white around a small central square, brown-grey with red center. Between inner edge of this border and brown-grey border of central panel, is an area of mottled pink and violet-grey which changes to brownish greys at left.
