H. 1.35 W. 2.56 Mosaic pavement of Room C302Outer border, grey-black enclosing pattern of, a) square outlined in grey-black with a light grey field inscribed with concentric circles of dark brown-grey, ochre, ochre-yellow, red, white, and dark grey; b) rectangle outlined in red, inscribed with diminishing diamonds of red, white, grey-black and a grey field with smaller diminishing diamonds of grey-black, ochre-yellow, and white with a red center; below, a smaller diamond outlined in grey-black with ochre-yellow center; the triangular corners are ochre-yellow enclosing a white triangle with grey filling and grey-black tesserae in the center. Guilloche border outlined in black with strands of, a) ochre shading to white, and b) slate grey shading to white; dots white. Bird border bound in black with ochre-yellow field; the birds are done in dark colors: dark green, green-ochre, slate grey, red, with streaks of black on legs and wings, and greenish grey in the light areas with touches of yellow or pink and white highlights; flowers, slate grey or dark green stems, bud dark green, pink, red. Border of central panel black enclosing a perspective fret outlined in white on a black field, the exterior in grey shadows, the interior dark red shading to pink; on the left, the border line of the pattern becomes concave with a black triangle where the curve is deepest, and a series of colors, grey, white, black, pink, filling the gap between the outline of the pattern and the panels border; remains of the panel's general motif in the projecting V, ochre-yellow, white, dark ochre, black; triangular shape in corner, dark ochre and ochre-yellow.
