H 1.30 W. 2.675 Mosaic pavement of Room C5Outer border, yellow edged in black-mottled grey. Panel at left: double-headed hatchets in triangular corners, red. Fragment of large central lozenge edged in black-mottled grey; filed, yellow, inscribed, in the apex, with a pelta-like ornament having a heart at the top and an oval pendant below, all in black-mottled grey; central medallion edged in black-mottled grey enclosing a red field with fragment of a design of interlocking diamonds and squares outlined in black-mottled grey; angles of diamond outside the outer square, grey; area between outline of diamond and inner square, yellow; inner square and diamond have white field; traces of indented diamond in center of inner square, outlined in black with red filling. Panel at right: inner border composed of two rows of black-mottled grey. The central cross with intermediary arms linking pattern, the outlines of large corner squares, and of indented triangles in between, are black-mottled grey. Triangles and squares filled with yellow. Squares contain smaller squares, the one at left outlined with one row of white and one row of black-mottled grey enclosing a rainbow pattern. Enclosed square at right outlined with two rows of white with an interlace design in center. Triangles each contain a rectangle outlined with a row of black-mottled grey, one of white, and one of jet black, enclosing a rainbow pattern. Color scheme of all these patterns the same: a) jet black, green-grey, white, and b) jet black, red, pink, white. Indented diamonds between arms of cross, black, red shading to white, with jet black center.
