Room 1 "Green mosaic" raised in 5 sections. Panel A: geometric: meander pattern with octagon border. Panel B: Green carpet pattern with octagon border. Panel C: Geometric meander pattern with octagon border. Green mosaic. Tesserae are 10 cm. Surround: On either side of the main field is a continuous row of octagons formed by a single row of blue-black tesserae. They are filled in with white ground and each has in the center a blue-black square filled with geometric patterns in a red, white and green. The roughly triangular shapes by the octagons along the sides are filled in with red and white tesserae. Field: Border: two rows of white, one row of green. Field: Completely covered by a diaper pattern of diamonds formed by a row of florets. Each floret is composed of red, pink, and white tesserae. In the center of each diamond is a rosette composed of concentric rows of the same colors with a central yellow ring and a single green tesserae in the center. From this ring extends to the exterior four lines of green. The background is completely filled in with green limestone.
