Terra cotta figurine. Upper half of male figure with traces of red blue paint (red on the body which is nude and blue on the hair or headdress). With heavy features and a full bushy beard, the mass about the face might well be hair but looks more like a headdress with some sort of garland over the forehead. One massive shoulder extends to an arm akimbo over which is hung a line skin with the lion's head downwards. A hand rests on the hip. The construction is the hollow type with smoothed back--most of which is missing. the right shoulder and lower portion of the body missing. H. .108, w.053, depth, .024 (app. of head) Probably Heracles.
