Moulded fragment of terracotta decorating a capital or some other piece of Architecture; forming part of a hollow cylindrical whole. [cross-out: "empty on the inside"]Hard, coarse grained dark brown clay with large grits and fine white inclusions.
Red varnish on the moulded surface and a streak of it extends on the inside; no visible gloss.
