Marble Revetment Fragment, painted in red, yellow and with applied gold dust. The paint is fast disappearing, but something of the design is still visible and appears to be geometric combined with a coiled motif, only a portion of the one coil remaining however. The red paint is best preserved, then yellow while only a few traces of the gold can be seen. The marble takes a good finish, but is coarse and cream streaked with brown in color.Length, .159; width, .107; thickness, .013
