Description

Bone handle with small bronze nail in one end for attaching blade or implement. The object is decorated with incising in a series of bands, four of which are in a diamond design (outlined with a double line) while the fifth and center band is filled with a continued herringbone design. There are [?] spaces separating each band of decoration and of approximately the same width. The handle is slightly concave, hollow, and in an excellent state of preservation, tho broken at one end. Length, .092: maximum diameter, .013: minimum diameter, .01: thickness of bone, .004.
