N. Trench 4. Unstratified surface debris from .60-1.00

Fragment of a small glass vessel with Greek inscription and decoration in relief: part of body with three letters of inscription, part of shoulder and neck preserved. Colorless glass with a greenish tinge: surface much oxidized. max. d.: .044: h.: of letters of inscription: ca. .014. concave neck: ovoid body. Inscription and decoration in barbotinel decoration of similar glass, inscription probably in clear glass of a dark amber color. Inscribed around body below shoulder. Found with Early Byzantine lamp. Surface deposits in 13-R consisted mostly of Late C, B, D, one medieval lamp.
