Reunion Hall

Reunion Hall

George Browne Post, 1869-1871 (1965)

Reunion Hall was commissioned in 1869 due to the surge in enrollment after the Civil War. The building was designed by George Post, and featured gray stone walls offset by red brick quoins. Reunion Hall was 5-stories tall, held 70 rooms, and mixed High Victorian Gothic with Second Empire architecture. Situated between Nassau Hall and Alexander Hall, it was used primarily for dormitory space, administrative offices, and the headquarters for student publications. Due to issues with its steam heating system and its top two floors being considered fire hazards, it was demolished in 1965.
